The Tank trail is a “must do” ride within the network.
This advanced trail is a great progression for those wanting to step up from intermediate trails like Swamp and Swoop.
Best accessed via the Yankee Zephyr uphill, turn left at the junction 700 metres into the climb. About 200 metres further along, turn right onto Pawsons Road and gently climb until the locked gate marking the junction between Pawsons Road and Clarence Valley Road. This is just above the water tank that gives the trail its name.
The downhill is brilliant. The first few steep switchback corners are the hardest sections of the trail. The rest of the trail contours around the hill, undulating and twisting only like handcrafted single track can. Enjoy this great trail which has a long and golden future as the Fir trees encase the trail and add a new dimension going forward.
The trail exits at a major trail junction which allows numerous other trail options to be explored.
